We were so excited to see our 1944 Dark Rum in it's TV debut when it was featured on ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh! As part of the show’s Remembrance Special, our Dark Rum was selected for it’s wartime story and we were over the moon to see it earning rave reviews from Alan and his star-studded guests.
Why Our 1944 Dark Rum Was Featured
The Remembrance Special celebrated products and stories that honour wartime heritage. Our 1944 Dark Rum, crafted in tribute to the 80th anniversary of D-Day, was the perfect fit. Created in a distillery that was once a secret, underground aviation fuel depot during WWII, our Dark Rum embodies history in every drop.
Along with host Alan Titchmarsh, Al Murray, the Duchess of York, and Ashley Jensen all sipped it neat (thanks to bartender Andy Clarke), and their reactions said it all. Surprised by the smoothness of the spirit and loving the link with the Taxi Charity for Miliary Veterans, they all concluded that ‘it got their vote’!
A Rum with a Story
Our 1944 Dark Rum isn’t just about exceptional flavour—it’s our way of paying our respects to the past not only through our story but our donations to the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans, an organisation we proudly support.
